Functional tests measure how the physiology of the body is functioning and evaluate the health status of the individual.
Specific laboratory tests can be an invaluable tool in identifying what may be contributing to an individual’s health concerns. Test results indicate not only the effectiveness of an on-going programme, but also provide a clear direction for facilitating successful outcomes for future programmes.
Most tests can be carried out at home from saliva, urine, finger prick or stool samples and sent to the laboratory. Where such methods are not suitable, some tests may need to be undertaken at the laboratory. Results will be sent to our practice where we will analyse the data to discuss with you at your next consultation.
